Renfe Spanish Large Families Fare
In Spain, Renfe provides significant fare discounts for large families: 20% for general category families and 50% for special category families. These discounts are applicable on AVE and Larga Distancia trains but do not extend to AVE International, Avant, or Cercanías routes. Renfe's Tarjeta Dorada offers up to 40% discounts for those aged over 60. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. You can get a 25% discount on AVE and AVE international trains. For Avant trains, discounts vary: 25% during weekdays and 40% on weekends. All services provided with discounted tickets are the same as those with full-price tickets, and the same rules apply for changes and refunds.
