The H Hotel

My wife and I go to Midland annually to visit the Dow Gardens, Tridge, parks, and downtown area during their summer events. We usually stay in some of the other hotels in the area and just walk in, etc. This time we thought we would give The H Hotel a try, and now we won't be staying any where else when we make our visit. The Hotel is located right in the old downtown area next to amazing restaurants, candy stores, parks, and shopping district. All within walking distance. Midland has summer events and blocks off a street in the downtown area where locals and visitors are able to mingle, and have a little fun in the downtown area. They have live music on the weekends, and activities for kids. The H staff were all amazing, very friendly and helpful and always on their feet trying to make sure all the guests have everything they need, or can help with. Ali, Samuel & Olivia were the stand outs for us, but everyone encountered was amazing. Those three were the staff we chatted with the most, and they were always on top of their game representing their place of work, but really just were the best. The Hotel is very clean, and they keep them that way while you are staying. We were impressed that one time we had went out for a walk to come back and see that they refilled some coffee and tea my wife was drinking and replaced towels, etc. Very nice. The hallways, elevators, pool area, gym, and the grounds were all very well maintained and I did not see one over flowed trash bag, or any liter, etc anywhere on the premises. They keep up on the grounds and the rooms really well. We stayed on the club floor and just wanted to say that the club snacks and breakfast were amazing. I usually skip on hotel breakfasts, because I am a picky eater. However, they made some delicious food for breakfast, it was not your usual "Cereal, Nasty eggs, waffle maker" set up. They made a mushroom quiche one morning, and some bacon and make your own yogurt bar. Along with having bottle juice, and fresh coffee's etc. It was very nice. The other food set ups were very nice as well, we wanted to always check them out to see. They have an "Adult Swim" after 11pm. So, if you want to use the Hot tub without kids running around you can utilize that time to go swimming and enjoy the tub. Showers were clean, and they always had towels out even at the late hours. Overall, we had a great time in Midland, if you are wanting a Hotel that makes your stay EXTRA special then you really need to stay at the H. I know we are sold on their service and value for a wonderful getaway to the Midland area.

Tucked a few miles north of Frankenmuth is the quaint city of Midland, MI. After touring the Dow Gardens, we enjoyed a wonderful night and some delicious food and libations at the gem of a hotel. Highly recommend.

The H Hotel is a hidden gem, I truly enjoyed my stay and I know have a reason to visit Midland if I looking for a quick weekend get a way. The staff were all super friendly, the room was clean and well stocked and the bar/restaurant options were phenomenal.

Very lovely hotel and great on site restaurants. Midland is a unique town and I wish I could have explored more of it. Was only in for a wedding in a nearby city.

Stayed four nights, very clean very accommodating. nice touches here and there. Top quality in creature comforts. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay at the H hotel!! A beautiful venue Took an overnight getaway and visited here…the hotel is amazing!! Our room was perfect - overlooked the park and was perfect for seeing the full moon outside our window! Bed and linens so comfortable - room nice and quiet- it was great to sleep so well!! We were on the Club floor - highly recommend this option - valet parking included -breakfast next morning in the Club space was a good start to our day -food quality and selection nice and really great to have the options of different coffee drinks there. Drinks at the Oxygen lounge were fun - dinner at One 18 restaurant was delicious! Had pan fried walleye entree, my husband tried crab cakes - both entrees great and excellent service. Midland is a fun destination to visit…we walked all thru Dow Gardens the next day before heading home. Plan is to visit again in the fall! Look forward to returning - TY!!
